Tried something new?

Topic: When was the last time your tried something new?
Words By Jonan:
The last time I had tried something new was only a few weeks ago really. I decided it was time to reframe my thinking and allow positivity to truly flow within me. Negativity is ubiquitous in today’s world. We live within a world teeming with a skewed media, and everywhere we go, we hear of more negative events. The moment that we change our thinking and decide to equip ourselves with a will to serve others, a will to make a difference and overturn the negativity that has encased today’s world, that is when we can make a difference. Negativity is superseded by positivity, we live in a world that is meant for good.

Are you Aware?

Topic: Are you aware that someone has it worse than you?

Words By Jonan

We are more than lucky to have all that we have. We are blessed to have the resources, the opportunity, and time to better ourselves. The older we get, the more opportunity I feel is teeming and the more I am grateful for what I have and who I am becoming. Many of my peers and the youth in today’s world have an innate sense of entitlement and it is saddening to see such behavior exhibited. The notion of entitlement is instilled at an early age and whether you are middle class, wealthy, or in the lower class, everyone has this sense that everything they have is theirs and theirs alone. Now, it is understandable that the time and effort one puts forth to achieve something is commendable, but we mustn’t lose ourselves in what we own. We as a society, must work cohesively to create new ideas, new innovation, and better ourselves internally and externally. To be where we are currently is a blessing and an opportunity never to be squandered or exploited. We must continue to strengthen ourselves and perpetuate these ideas to those around us.

Done and Done

When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
